BROOD: Basset Hound Rescue Of the Old Dominion

The following dogs are available to people residing in Virginia and surrounding areas (District of Columbia, West Virginia, Maryland, parts of Pennsylvania, and Delaware). If you live outside these areas please check our basset links to find your local rescue organization.

NOTE: BROOD requires that all prospective adopters go through our adoption process before they will be considered to adopt one of our dogs. No approved application - No dog. There are no exceptions to this rule. We will try to process your application in a timely fashion. But you must be approved to adopt a BROOD dog.

If you wish to adopt any of the following dogs, you must send in an application form. We are now accepting on-line application forms with credit card payment through PAYPAL. You may still mail in the application form, with a $10.00 check made out to BROOD Inc.
This is a non-refundable fee.

***Foster homes are always needed. Many of these Bassets are boarded in kennels because of the perennial lack of foster homes. Won't you consider fostering a dog for BROOD, even for a short period of time? If you can help, please read about how you can become a foster home.
