My name is Augie.  The best I remember, I was picked up and taken to a place where they cleaned me up and took off loads of ticks and cleaned a gash to my head and nose and then was taken to a nice lady named Alisa's home to play with her dogs.  One day, she introduced me to my real family.  I put my head on the girl's lap on the way home in the car and it has been a mutual love ever since!

I have my own big yard, my own fancy bed (although I would ALWAYS prefer to sleep with my family when they let me!), and am spoiled rotten by them!  My favorite times of day are my morning cheese slice from my dad, surveying my yard after breakfast, my morning and afternoon and in-between naps on the sofa and carpet, tummy rubs, pig ears, greeting my kids off the school bus, walks anywhere, greeting new people, and curling up next to whoever is home at any time!

I am SO, SO sweet, non-drooly, non-howling and love women and kids. I must have had some awful experiences early in life, as I am still a bit shy of men. I really was never taught how to play when I was little, but I do have my few little games that I play. One of them is the original put-the-treat-in-the-towel game. My girl and I play that most of the time. I usually find it and hide it in the couch I'm not supposed to sit on. Another one of my favorite games is run with the stick. It's like fetch, but you don't bring the stick back. Other than that, I don't really do much more than sit on the couch or follow my mom around all day.  Thanks Alisa and BROOD for giving me a second chance!
