the perfect dog
Donnie immediately took to being a member of our family. We have a six year old son and a two year old daughter and they are completely in love with him. He is the most intelligent dog we have ever had and seems to understand every word we say. Our daughter even learned his name as one of the first words she ever said! We could not imagine life without him and he is as much a part of our family as any human member. We will never buy another dog from a pet store or breeder as long as there are organizations such as BROOD.
The Wall Family Update - Fall, 2008 Recently we rescued another basset from the Virginia Beach SPCA, her name is Keilani (at left). She is an owner surrender four years old. She was not abused but there are obvious signs of mistreatment they loved her but probably just didn't know how to care for her. She is very sweet and has come into our family like Donnie did and has made us even more happy. We want to thank BROOD again for showing us what great family members bassets are! BROOD is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia. |
We adopted
Donnie in the fall of 2003 and when we went to visit him at his foster
home. We fell in love with him instantly, he was great in every sense of
the word.
