hitting
the jackpot
Hello all,
It has been awhile since I hit the $1 Billion Lottery. It was the
craziest thing, one day I was being seriously neglected and the next day
I was hitting the lottery on my way to easy street.
It was July 2003 when I was adopted. Ever since, my life has been the
greatest. I went from being completely neglected to being totally
pampered. I have put on about 8 pounds (much needed) and the vet says
that of all the bassets that come through their doors, I am the
healthiest one by far!
I never want for food and treats anymore, I get walked every day, and
the amount of love is amazing (I love it though and will take all I can
get). I have learned to do tricks (sit, shake, down, and roll
over).
I have a huge back yard to play in where I chase my arch
enemies....squirrels and a cat. What fun!! I also have two beds, one
downstairs and one upstairs. I now have relatives as well. My cousins
are Riley (a Papillon), Taylor (a Yellow Lab), Caesar (a Miniature
Pinscher) and Bailey (an All-American...nice way of saying Mutt). I tell
you, I am living the "Life of Riley", and I have BROOD to
thank for it.
I hope to get back to see everyone soon (if I can talk my Mom and Dad
into it), and maybe I can convince them to spring someone else from the
kennel. Until then, be happy and keep up hope.
Sincerely,
Emerson White
