playing
like the devil!
Hi. Joey here writing from
Lancaster County PA. I've lived with the Dillons now for awhile now, and
I love it here! I have a big brother basset named Charlie who was also
rescued. He came from the local shelter. We love to play a game Mom and
Dad call "Bite my face", and it looks like we're killing one
another, but if one of us stops first, the other one will ask us to keep
rolling and growling. The next door neighbor asked Mom if she had a
couple of Tasmanian Devils in the house. I guess that's what we sound
like.
When I went to the vet for a check up, Dr. Hutchinson said that she'd
never heard of BROOD, but that if I had been through all of the problems
I had in my first year, then BROOD must be a great group, because I'm
happy and healthy now.
When I was adopted, Dad took a picture of me to work with him to show
his friends, and one of them, who has adopted a greyhound, told us about
this really TERRIFIC place for dogs to go and play. A local vet has a
large field behind his house that he fenced off and calls "The Dog
Park". My people can take Charlie and me to this wonderful place
and let us run off of a leash. We also meet lots of other running and
playing friends there. The other day, I met a Mountain Dog. He looked
like a mountain of hair. I chased him and he rolled over onto his back
and let me bite his stomach. He seemed to like it, because when I ran
away, he came after me and rolled over again for me.
I sleep with my humans on the bed, between Mom and Dad, and Charlie
sleeps down by Mom's feet. Mom and Dad said to say Thank You for such a
happy, healthy, loving dog. They love me, and I know that this is my
Forever Home now with them.
Sincerely,
Flo Jo
