perfect
luck
I
do believe I am the luckiest dog around. Somehow I came to BROOD because
a neighbor from where I used to live decided I needed a new home. I
didn't last long in my foster home with the Seldons, because Helen
decided I was the PERFECT dog for any family and she just couldn't find
anything wrong with me. I had no bad habits and I LOVE everyone
(especially cats).
My
soon-to-be Mom and kids showed up at the Seldons' on a Sunday afternoon
and I loved them instantly. My Dad couldn't come that day but my family
knew he was a sucker for any cute face (he even let it slide when I
stole a turkey breast off the counter on Thanksgiving Day...you know,
dogs have to eat too!) So, off I went in the big and loud truck to my
forever home in Palmyra, VA.
Now I live on a farm with four horses, two other dogs (they were SPCA
rescues), and two cats...the little black one is my favorite! I watch
her all of the time and hope one day she'll come inside our invisible
fence so that I can really play with her.
My two new canine friends are not bassets, but I like them anyway.
They weren't so sure about me at first, but now we all love each other
very much. I especially like to wrestle with my big brother, Bailey, who
weighs about 100 pounds! That's no problem for me, because you know what
they say, "the bigger they are..."
My kids are lots of fun too. They love to play in the yard and house
with me and my little boy sometimes takes naps with me in the sun.
I don't really know how I got so lucky, but I am sure glad to have
found my forever family. I guess it is all because I AM the PERFECT dog!
