luna eclipse

Me the first day I came home!Hi! My name is Luna. My mom named me Luna because I have a half moon shape on my lower back.

I'm a very young basset hound so I don't remember where I'm from but I know I was found somewhere between WV and VA on December 9, 2003. I must have escaped from where I lived before and I was found by a nice lady who turned me in to BROOD, thank doG. Well, my mom had lost her lovable Mastiff on December 9th also and she had said she would never have another dog. But when she saw my lady face on the Brood's web site she was hooked.

She contacted the rescue people and they put us in touch and it was love at first site. Well, we didn't know really if it was going to work out because she had seen me on a picture but I hadn't even smelled her yet... and you know how important that is to us hounds. Well, I moved in and initially I had some issues. I used her floor as the bathroom and every time she left I cried and destroyed her home. Boy, that was fun.

But you know what? After a while it wasn't fun anymore because mom wouldn't give me any attention after I did those things. If I went on the floor she would take me out until I went again and ignored me for a while. The same if I ate her favorite things.

So I picked up on her tactic...yeah...she thinks I don't know. I stopped doing those things and now she has no choice but love me all the time. Hah! Who is the smart one here???

So, thanks BROOD and all the volunteers who helped me get to my forever home. I think I'll stick around. And by the way, the smells around here are great!
