mable heals a heart

After the loss of my best friend Jake I really needed the comfort and love that you can only get from a dog. At the time my family lived in Massachusetts, but we were soon moving to Virginia where we would adopt a dog from BROOD. 

After months of waiting we got approved and went to see an old girl named Kahki. When we arrived at Kahki's foster house, we waited for her to make her entrance. As soon as she rounded the corner I fell in love with her. She was only a few inches off the ground it seemed, with loose skin swinging side to side as she walked up to me. Her tail was wagging and I even got a little teary eyed.

We renamed her Mable because she had only had her other name for a few months and she came to it right away. Every day she melts my heart. She has never failed to make me laugh with that droopy face of hers. I even sit on the ground to cuddle with her because she cant exactly make it onto the couch. 

She has moved right into our house and hearts and we will treasure her forever.
