Hi!
My name is SallyBella (Sally for short) and I am another example of a
BROOD success story!
My foster mother, Gena Frazier, did a great job
of finding me a home where I'm spoiled rotten, to say the least! I came
to BROOD early in 2005 because the nice people at BROOD found out I had
been placed in a shelter. Then I met Gena. She and her husband took good
care of me, but unfortunately, I was hit by a car on their road. My
pelvis was broken, and I needed lots of extra TLC. My foster parents took
great care to make sure I got the proper healthcare and medicine I
needed to heal, and I will be forever grateful to them!
In July 2005 I met who would be my new mom, dad,
and "brother". They lived near Huntington, WV, and already had
one Basset Hound, a wild man named Stumpy (the little camera hog is
pictured at left). Stumpy needed a buddy. He was just over 1 year old at
the time, and mom and dad knew he might be a bit happier with a new
friend. Mom and dad have always been doggie lovers and grew up with
dogs, so it was just natural to them to want to help out a dog that
needed a good home. So they contacted BROOD, and Gena contacted them to
see about bringing me over for a visit!!
Everything went very well, and now I'm the queen
of my very own home that has a nice sized fenced in yard and everything!
Stumpy and I get along very well, and I am so happy to have parents that
love me so much. My back legs and hips are getting stronger and
stronger, thanks
to the Rimadyl I take every day. (I can run really fast when I want to,
like if I need to chase after a cat or something!)
One of my favorite things to do is to get a
bath!! When mom draws the bath water, I get so excited that my tail
spins in circles and I bounce all over the room! After my bath comes my
favorite part--getting dried off! Mom spends lots of time drying me with
towels and then I'll roll over on my back so she can dry my belly with
the hair dryer (on low, of course)!
We are all pretty close buddies, and I've found
my forever home, that's for sure!
