It's not an unusual story, thanks to BROOD. After losing our 16-year old Thaleia at Christmastime, followed by my husband's heart surgery weeks afterwards, it was difficult to pick ourselves up.  Initial internet excursions to a French website (I'm a French professor) became more frequent, with hyperlinks everywhere. 

Before long, my complete incapacity to resist bassets led me to your site and people. When the web photos began to appear on the laptop screen, it was just a matter of which dog to adopt.

A visit to Leslie Rozinski's home in Hampton introduced us to Molly, now Sophie: she seemed relaxed about coming home to Richmond with us. Thankfully Sophie has managed to bring joy and laughter back into the house!
