living
the dream life
My name is Woody, I was adopted by my mommy and poppi in October. I
sure do feel lucky. You see I was found in a shelter and BROOD took me
in. I lived with Ms. Vicki for a while until my mommy seen me on the
BROOD website. First she came to visit me to see how cute and well
mannered I was, and then she feel in love.
The next weekend I went home. When I got home
there was a surprise, a basset puppy, my little brother. His name is
Hoover. At first I didn't like him, he wouldn't leave me alone. I had to
teach and discipline him. Now we are best friends.
We play, have barking contest, and we love to go
for car rides. Since I was adopted I have traveled to Florida where
mommy's family lives. And guess what? There was another basset her name
is Bassie, a dachshund her name is Harmony, and whole lotta kitty cats,
I'll say about 5 of them.
Well Bassie didn't mind me too much, but my
second trip to Florida Harmony quit liking me for some odd reason, but I
just ignored her. All of mommy's family (my new family too) thought I
was so cute and well behaved, they just loved me! Me and Hoover stayed
outside most of the time because we don't have a yard in Virginia and we
love the yard. Mommy says next year we are moving back to Florida and
when we do we are getting a yard to run free in. "YIPPEEE", I
can not wait!
I do feel like I am living in luxury now. I have
a warm bed and couch to sleep in, I have toys, yummy food and treats,
and I get belly and ear rubs all the time. When I go outside and it is
cold mommy and poppi puts a sweater on me and Hoover, and if it is
raining well, we get a raincoat. I also have clean white teeth now, they
was all yucky when mommy and poppi got me.
But best of all I get hugs and kisses, I have a
family and I am LOVED!
