BROOD Statistics
In 2022 BROOD rescued 63 dogs, placed 53 dogs in adoptive homes and took care of 74 hounds. As of December 31, 2022, BROOD has saved 3,356 dogs since our founding in 1996.
75% of our revenue goes to providing veterinary care, kenneling and boarding and foster care services to the dogs we rescue and other rescue organizations.
We also provide monetary support to other rescues that work closely with BROOD. In 2022 we supported 24 rescues, humane societies and shelters with grants for veterinary care for dogs, which accounted for 8% of our expenses.
All BROOD Board members and volunteers are unpaid.
We average about 15 dogs in our care at any given time in foster homes or boarded at our veterinary partners.
