BROOD Statistics

In 2023 BROOD rescued 72 dogs, placed 74 dogs in adoptive homes and took care of 91 hounds.  As of December 31, 2023, BROOD has saved 3,430 dogs since our founding in 1996.

81% of our revenue goes to providing veterinary care, kenneling and boarding and foster care services to the dogs we rescue and other rescue organizations.

We also provide monetary support to other rescues that work closely with BROOD. In 2023 we supported 30 rescues, humane societies and shelters with grants for veterinary care for dogs, which accounted for 6% of our expenses.

All BROOD Board members and volunteers are unpaid.

We average about 15 to 20 dogs in our care at any given time in foster homes or boarded at our veterinary partners.
